My tribe
These are the people who’ve taught me the real UX of life.
From the bedtime stories I tell my daughter that sharpen my imagination, improvisation, and storytelling… to my partner, who teaches me patience and deep listening - Every day brings a new lesson.
The effort I put into managing emotions and convincing the people I love - my parents, family, and friends - has taught me more about human understanding than any framework ever could. I’m grateful for their presence - especially the friends who challenge my thinking, give me space to talk things out, and remind me to laugh through the mess.
My tale
I’ve always been a curious mix. A kid who loved art, movement, stories, and solving little problems around me. But school didn’t excite me. In fact, it left me restless. I went to six schools across four states because of my dad’s transfers, and every shift shaped my people skills. I had to adapt fast, observe quicker, and build connections from scratch. That constant change made me comfortable with chaos, which is something I now consider my creative edge.
In college, my frustration with how we were taught led me to imagine a better education system that used digital tools to make learning feel more human. I chased that idea with everything I had, built it out, and failed. However, years later, while working across roles like event coordinator, business strategist, and content marketer, I had a moment of clarity. Everything I had done for that idea - empathising, defining, visualising, validating - was exactly what a UX designer does. That moment connected the dots for me. What once felt like scattered experiences suddenly made sense. From then on, I chose design fully, and I haven't looked back.
Since then, every job I’ve taken - from event coordinator to content strategist to digital marketer - was about chasing value and creating impact. Each role brought me closer to UX, and none of it was wasted. The business thinking, the user insight, the creativity - I carry all of it into every project I touch today. For me, design isn’t just a job. It is how I think. Even when I’m cooking or driving, I find myself solving problems in my head. That is when I know I’m exactly where I need to be.
